3500 Travels

To Alamosa, CO

This was day one for us. Not only were we leaving home for the longest period of time since my sabbatical in Australia, but we were setting off with three dogs. Probably two too many, but no turning back now. Well the dogs travel pretty well, although there isn’t an excess of room in the back seat. Still, for the most part, they have figured out ways to accommodate one another.

We stopped for lunch at the Green Garden Bistro in Los Lunas, NM. Seems to cater to all sorts of people and events. For us there was good food and for the dogs an outside area where they were welcome and we could eat.

While a longish day, we eventually arrived in Alamosa, CO where we would stay at the KOA. Our first stop was the San Luis Brewing Company for a beer and a bite to eat.
