3500 Travels

Petit Manan

October 12, 2015

Monday Cathie and I went back down Pigeon Hill Road to the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge. In particular we were going to hike the John Hollingsworth Memorial Trail. Richard Miles strongly urged us to go back after he took us this way when we first arrived. It was a good idea.

The trail is pretty much flat and starts from a small parking area off of Pigeon Hill Road, then through a blueberry filed, next various forest environments, and finally to the shore. The return is similar but the trail forms a big loop.

I’m always adding something about Cap. Here he is walking through a bog.

The album below is a sampling of what we saw.
