update 12/29/2015

I have added a couple of pictures to show just how mild the weather is. My favorite weatherman, on the local NPR station, says it is not all El Niño. Nonetheless, as I just motioned to Cathie on our way back from an outing along the coast, snow would have been nice when we first woke up, but not so much later.
We are in our first big snow storm. It started about 7:00 this morning and has been coming down steadily ever since. It is now 1:00 pm. We took the dogs across Oak Point Rd to a neighbors. They don’t live up here in the winter so we took advantage of their absence. They have about 40 acres, much of it wide open. The picture and video immediately below are from there. The following picture and video were taken from our deck.
