Nova Scotia & Cape Breton – May 1 & 2
I have fallen behind on my posts. We have been driving a lot, and wi-fi has often been marginal. As I write this we are spending our last day in Labrador (May 11). Tomorrow we turn south into Quebec. Perhaps I will come back and add some additional words. For now I will try and put enough in the captions to give you a sense of what you are seeing.
The first phot gallery is from May 1. We entered Nova Scotia from New Brunswick and stayed at Cranton Cottages – our gateway to the Cabot Trail, which winds its way through Cape Breton. The second gallery is from our drive on May 2 along the Cabot Trail. A very spectacular region. We can see going back for a longer visit. We traveled clockwise, and that is the order you see the pictures. We started at Margaree Center and eventually ended up Mountain Vista Seaside Cottages in Big Bras d’Or, NS. The next day we drove to North Sydney to catch the seven hours ferry to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. More on that adventure in the next post.
